How to Post Updates in Feeds

The Feeds feature in Carerota allows you to post updates, announcements, and recognitions to keep your team informed and engaged.

This guide will walk you through the steps to create and publish a post in Feeds.

Steps to Post an Update

1. Access Feeds

  • Navigate to the Feeds section in Carerota from the dashboard.

  • Click on the What are you thinking? field at the top of the feed.

2. Set Post Visibility

  • Choose who can see the post:

    • Company – Visible to all employees.

    • Location – Shared only with employees at a specific location.

    • Team – Target a particular team within the company.

    • Employee – Directly notify and share with a specific individual.

3. Choose Post Type

Select the appropriate post type from the available options:

  • Company Update – General updates for all employees.

  • News – Share important company or industry news.

  • Kudos – Recognise and celebrate employee achievements.

  • Priority – Urgent messages requiring immediate attention.

  • Announcements – Major company-wide updates.

4. Write Your Post

  • Enter the title and content of your post.

  • Format text as needed (bold, italics, bullet points, etc.).

  • Attach images, videos, or documents if necessary.

  • Tag locations, teams, or employees to ensure the post reaches the right audience.

5. Set Additional Options

  • Acknowledgment Required (for Priority and Announcement posts) – Enable this to ensure employees confirm they have read the update.

  • Turn Off Reactions – Disable the ability for employees to react to the post.

  • Turn Off Comments – Prevent employees from commenting on the post.

6. Publish the Post

  • Click Post to publish immediately.

  • Once posted, employees can engage with likes, comments (if enabled), and acknowledgments.

Managing Posts

  • Edit or delete a post by clicking the More Options (⋮) menu on the post.

  • Track acknowledgment status for priority posts from the Feeds dashboard.
